Gymnastics Parties - Silver Spring

Your birthday child will be the “Shining Star” at Silver Stars. Our experienced party staff will move the children through fun activities including Trampoline, Obstacle Course, Parachute, and Gym Games. Note to Parents:

A Silver Stars birthday party is the easiest party you will ever host. Our party staff will engage your children from start to finish. They lead them in activities, assist them on the equipment and serve them at the party table. We even provide the party supplies and the goodie bags! You can use your time to take photos, videos or simply watch your child and their party guests having a great time.
Parties are available Saturdays and Sundays by reservation only. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot. You will be charged the complete cost for your party if you cancel within 30 days of the party date. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to birthdayparties@gosilverstars.com. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the start of your party. Our parties start on time and end on time. We cannot extend time due to late arrivals.

Birthday Party FAQ's

How many children are included in the party?
16 children, including the party child for the Sun & Stars Parties. You can have up to 20 children with an additional charge per child this total includes siblings and the birthday child.
26 children, including the party child for the Galaxy Party. You can have up to 30 children with an additional charge per child this total includes siblings and the birthday child.

How long is the Party?
Silver Stars Parties are 1 hour & 30 minutes. The first hour is gym time and then 30 minutes for refreshments in our refreshment area. Our parties start on time and end on time. We cannot extend time due to late arrivals.

What if I want to add time?
We find that 1 hour & 30 minutes is the perfect amount of time for the children. If you want to add an additional 30 minutes it can be added to the last party of the day. Please email with your request birthdayparties@gosilverstars.com or call 301-589-0938 ex 7.

How many instructors for my party?
Sun and Stars Parties have 2 instructors who lead your party start to finish. They engage the children in party activities and serve your guests refreshments.
Galaxy Party has 3 instructors who lead your party start to finish. They engage the children in party activities and serve your guests refreshments.

What is included in the party package?
We include all paper products, candles, drinks for children (Silver Spring-apple or fruit punch ) (Bowie-soda), knives for cutting and Goodie Cups.

Who supplies the cake?
You, the party host, supply the cake. We require that the cake be store bought. We supply the candles, plates, forks and knife to cut the cake for the children.

Can I add pizza to my party? What is the cost?
Additional Plain Cheese Pizza can be added to all party pizza packages for an additional $12.50 per pizza.  Please let our party coordinator know you would like to add pizza in you confirmation email.

What if I want to bring my own food or order my own pizza?
Any food brought, including cake, must be store bought. We do not allow for any food to be delivered to our location. We cannot heat or chill any food. Electric food warmers and chafing dishes are not permitted. NO OUTSIDE PIZZA ALLOWED. Please keep additional refreshments to a minimum. All food and drink must stay in the designated refreshment area. No hot beverages or alcohol allowed.

What is in the Goodie Cups?
Goodie cups contain 4 assorted toy items only, no candy and gender neutral. We select the toys based on the age of the Birthday child. 

How do I order the moon bounce for my party?
The moon bounce is available for all Star & Galaxy Parties. You can order the moon bounce at the time you book your party or during the Monday before the party phone call. The cost of adding the moon bounce is $35. It is not available for select Sun Parties, confirm availability of the moon bounce prior to booking your Sun Party.

When do I need to confirm the number of children attending my party?
Please call 301-589-0938 ext. 7 the Monday before your party to confirm:

Can I have Balloons? Pinata? Decorations?
Our Gym and Party areas are bright and busy. Additional decorations are unnecessary. We cannot accommodate Pinatas at either location. We do not recommend balloons because the ceiling is too high and the balloons even with weights rise and we cannot retrieve them.

What if my guests have Special Needs?
We welcome all guests with special needs but our party instructors are not special needs instructors. We ask the parents of special needs children to stay during the party. Please let us know if any of your guests have special needs during the Monday before your party phone call.

When should we arrive for the party? Where should we place our things?
Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the start of your party. Our party coordinators will have your party space ready for you at that time. There will be a designated party area for your party guests' presents, coats and shoes. Please wait for the staff members to take the children into the gym.

How do I access the email invitations?
If you booked your party on line then you will be able to access invitations to email at any time. Log into your "Account Management" page, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Create Invitations". If you booked your party in person or over the phone then email invitations are not an option. 

What if my guests forget the waiver?
It is best to have your guests bring the waiver with them, your guests cannot enter the party area until the waiver is complete. We have waivers available at each location and they can be filled out by a parent or guardian.

Are non-birthday child adults allowed into the gym during my child's party?
Only the Birthday child's parents & grandparents are permitted in the gym area. You are welcome to photograph or videotape while the supervised activity is occurring. We ask that you take off your shoes and place them in the cubbies. All other parents may view the party from the lobby area.
Parents of children ages 4 and under are permitted in the gym area (please take off your shoes and place them in the designated area before entering the gym).

What if we want to share the party with another child?
A Silver Stars Party is just as much fun for two children as it is for one child. All of the party details are the same, 16 kids, 2 instructors and 1 hour & 30 minutes of party time. We ask that you email birthdayparties@gosilverstars.com with the date/time of the party, name of each party child, each responsible adult and phone number. We ask that one parent be responsible for the payment at the end of the party.

When are Parties available?
Parties are available at both locations Saturday afternoons and Sunday all day by reservation only.

How much is the deposit? Is it refundable?
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot. Any date or time change must be requested 30 days prior to your party date in order for your deposit to transfer to the new date or time and there will be a $35 switch fee in addition to all party costs. Prices effective 9/28/2015.

When do I pay the balance?
Payment of the balance is due at the conclusion of the party and is accepted in the form of cash or credit card. We do not accept personal checks or business checks.
Sun & Stars Parties requires an additional $25 per child charge for over 16 children including siblings and the birthday child with a maximum of 20 per party.
Galaxy Parties require an additional $25 per child charge for over 26 children including siblings and the birthday child with a maximum of 30 per party. All parties must confirm the amount of guests attending by the Monday prior to your party.

Can I Tip the Fantastic Party Staff?
Your party hosts welcome all tips in cash or credit card.

What are the new COVID-19 protocols for Parties?

In accordance with the regulations and guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Silver Stars has created a strategic plan for safely operating Parties (see Silver Stars COVID-19 Reopening Plan for more details):

·      All gymnasts must wear a face covering.

·      No students, guests or staff allowed who are showing symptoms of COVID-19.

·      Individuals who are NOT fully vaccinated and considered a close contact (anyone who has been within 6-feet for a period of more than 15 minutes) to anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 10 days are not permitted, unless a negative PCR test taken within days 5-7 after the exposure is produced.

·      Confirmed positive persons should stay home until cleared by the Health Department from isolation which is at least 5 days since symptoms first appeared AND until no fever for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication  AND improvement of other symptoms.

·      In the event that a staff member or gymnast exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 or is exposed to someone with COVID-19, Silver Stars will follow the guidelines provided by the CDC and consult with our local and state health departments regarding reports of COVID-19 exposure. As we are committed to the health and safety of all of our families, our response may include deep cleaning, a temporary suspension of operations, or other actions as determined by the type of exposure. We will communicate with families and staff in accordance with recommendations from licensing agencies and health departments.

·      All staff will complete training on the health and safety protocol updates that Silver Stars will be implementing.

·      All staff will adhere to the cleaning requirements, physical distancing and preventative measures implemented by Silver Stars.

·      Signs will be posted on how to stop the spread of COVID-19 and on how to properly wash hands. While gymnasts will also be required to properly wash hands after bathroom use and before and after eating, parents are expected to go over these policies with their gymnast prior to the start of the party. Please explain the importance of following rules: social distancing, limited contact with other gymnasts and listening to instructors. Parents are encouraged to educate their gymnast to use the appropriate precautionary measures to stop the spread of germs. (i.e., Handwashing, social distancing, cough/sneeze etiquette, personal hygiene, etc.)

·      To decrease the risk of spreading airborne germs, we ask that you bring a separate cupcake for the birthday guest of honor to blow out candles.
